Barcelona played soccer like champions, everything about the short precise passes and deliveries to the genius at the centre of the opera , Lionel Messi was more than math it was art.  

Wembley Stadium was the place to be for soccer on Saturday night in the Champions League final.   Barcelona took a 3-1 victory over Manchester United.  The win was due to the skill and talents of a superior team who controlled the ball 68 per cent of the time.

When all said and done their opponent United was not a push over at winning a record 19th league championship.  United is a great team, they equal Real Madrid as the second best in the world. Pedro Fernandez opened the scoring in the 27th minute, beating Edwin van der Sar after taking a fabulous feed from Xavi, the synchronized passing had become the tempo of the match.

Going the Distance

The Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lighting are going the distance for game seven of the eastern conference after game six where the Lighting came down hard on the Bruins to win it 4 -5.  How will this pan out?

Canucks vs the Sharks in Double Overtime

Did you see the hockey game? OMG!  They did it. It was rough and it seemed all over the place in the third period when Vancouver was down by one goal.  Then came  the equalizer and tie game. 2-2.

The Canucks did it in over time. It was a great goal nicely screened slap shot straight in to the left of the goalie.

Everyone hit the roof! The Canucks downed the San Jose Sharks 3-2 in double overtime Tuesday and won the Western Conference final by 4-1.

We want the cup Kevin Bieksa and thank you for the great goal to make it to the finals.
The city of Vancouver went wild with celebrations. Vancouver fans rejoicing the first Stanley Cup in 17 years.
